Dr. Jason Johnson was quoted in the Philadelphia Tribune article “Politicians wary of reaction to Ferguson turmoil.”
That fits into Hiram College political science professor Jason Johnson’s analysis that Ferguson probably hasn’t made a dent in the midterm outlook — at least not how it relates to the president. “I don’t think it makes that much of a difference,” said Johnson. “I don’t think it moves anyone any further against the president who is already motivated against him — and just for being Black.”
Johnson expresses frustration that the president could be more forceful. “This is completely in his wheelhouse,” he argues. Johnson, who is on the ground in Ferguson observing the unfolding political situation, said, “It’s not like he’s running for re-election.”
