Professor Jason Johnson today moderated a debate between the candidates for Cuyahoga County Executive. The debate was sponsored by the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture.
The forum was sponsored by the Community Partnership for Arts and Culture, which distributes cigarette-tax revenue to artists in Cuyahoga County. The moderator was Jason Johnson, Hiram College professor of political science and communications.
Although sometimes candidates responded to arts-related questions with generic political statements, all agreed arts and culture are important for creating jobs, revitalizing neighborhoods and retaining young people.
