Jason Johnson Worldwide
Professor Jason Johnson’s political experience extends beyond the United States, and includes expertise in comparative politics and international election monitoring.
Dr. Johnson worked on the 2001 London mayoral race, and served as an international election observer during Mexico’s turbulent 2006 presidential election. In 2007, he was an honored guest of the Independent Electoral Commission in Johannesburg, South Africa during the parliamentary elections.
In 2009, Dr. Johnson returned to Mexico as part of an international delegation observing the midterm parliamentary elections. Johnson documented his observer mission in an extensive video diary. The 2009 Mexican midterm elections resulted in the ruling PAN party losing control of the Chamber of Deputies.
Professor Johnson is also sought after by international media. He makes regular appearances on Al Jazeera English and CKNW Radio in Vancouver, British Columbia.
